As a global communication platform for wind energy groups, the World Wind Energy Association (WWEA) is a perfectly placed advocate for EcoGen 2010, an event dedicated to all things clean energy, nothing but clean energy.
WWEA advises national governments and international organisations, and in 2007 was granted Special Consultative Status at the United Nations. It has more than 430 members and represents the wind sector in more than 91 countries.
Vice President of WWEA and former Australian politician the Hon. Peter Rae AO will also be a keynote speaker at EcoGen 2010. Other speakers include Adjunct Professor Alan Pears of RMIT University’s Centre of Design; Professor Stuart White, Director of the Institute for Sustainable Futures at the University of Technology Sydney; and Dr Keith Lovegrove, Australian National University solar thermal expert.
EcoGen 2010 will take place from 5–8 September 2010 at the Sydney Convention and Exhibition Centre. It will assemble the highest levels of the clean energy industry to discuss present day issues and challenges, as well as to celebrate the achievements of a growing and thriving industry.
