Chairman Simon Holms à Court reported that at least half of the approximately 150 shareholders and community members present were considering further investment in the project. He added that Hepburn Wind has recently received a letter of support for the concept of community-owned renewable energy projects from 52 climate action groups from around the country.

In addition to the $975,000 previously committed by the Victorian Government, Mr Holmes à Court reported that $4 million has been raised from more than 700 local and interstate investors. Given this funding is secured, the wind farm is hoped to be operating by early 2010.
